Washington State University was founded in 1890 as the state's land-grant university. The main campus in Pullman is located in the rolling farmlands of Southeast Washington called the Palouse. WSU's instructional faculty of approximately 1,100, including a substantial number of scholars with national and international reputations, is responsible for instruction that opens students' minds to the most recent knowledge and discoveries.

Washington State University,
Graduate Course Profs, and Graduate Elite

On behalf of the Department of Physics, I am pleased to offer you a Teaching Assistantship for the 1999-2000 academic year beginning August 16, 1999. Congraduation on your admittence to the Graduate School at WSU to work for the Doctor of Philosphy.
Pullman, Washington (Home of National Lentil Festival)

Being located in the Palouse, the area is characterized by rolling hills which produce the highest dry land farming wheat yeild in the world.

Pullman's crime rate is almost none existent, as you can tell by walking downtown late at night. Not only would you feel safe, but also the people that you see will say hello.
Ultrafast Spectroscopy

This research uses optical techniques to study physical phenomena on very fast time scales. Advances in femtosecond lasers allow the generation of optical pulses as short as 6 fs. Since the duration of these pulses is short compared to the time scales of carrier processes in electronic materials and of vibrational processes in molecular and solid-state systems, femtosecond spectroscopy opens up the possibility of a detailed understanding of these dynamics.
Graduate Group Elite

Presented within is a very isomorphic group of personalities that are composed of, but not limited to, physics graduate students, researchers and professional interns.

Note: A multitude of rare pictures have been captured of the graduate elite!!!! (It has been demonstrated that graduate students of Wazzu can exist outside the walls of Webster.)
Course Summary Notes

A vastness of knowledge, without measure, has been amassed within the following pages. Information has been compiled into a summary format for quick reference with the inclusion of important proofs and examples. Topics include Quantum Mechanics, Electrodynamics, and Classical Dynamics.

First Year Adventures of the Graduate Group

Featuring: Escapades in Webster, Journey Across Space and Time, Topics of Absolute Zero, Traditional Chinese Feasts, Life & Death Experience in Spokane, Grandiose Excursion to the Renowned Garden Lounge, Plasmas & Pyrotechnics, Witch Activities, Rotation Operator, Lynchbury Lemonades and Quantitative Comparisions of Craniums, Nothing Absolute, Bungee Jumping Off the Space Needle, Encounters with Dinosaurs, Operation of a Spy Plane, Confrontations with Curious Apes, Momentum Conservation, Birthday Fests, The Wearing of Boxes, Saint Patricks Day and the U.S. DOE, Normalization, Excursions to the Roof, BBQ at the Citrin Estate, and Radiation with Physics 102!!!
Second Year Adventures of the Graduate Group

As residents of Webster 332, we have all formed a very special bond over the many hours of interaction within those tight confines. With the completion of our first year of course work, we have been dispersed to the end of the mighty Webster to our various research groups.
(Featuring: Barbequing With The First Year Graduate Students, Local Vibrational Modes, Hallows Eve, Dud Files, Fourier Optics, and Solid State Day!!!)
The Later Years: Adventures of the Graduate Group

Contained within is an indexed pictorial archive of senior physics graduate students and friends organized by event!
