History Of Crawl (by Ben Dzikowicz, Lord of Pub Crawl)

The Moscow-Pullman Pub Crawl has a long tradition as the greatest pub crawl in the Moscow-Pullman area. The story begins at the dawn of history, or perhaps a bit before then, on a Tuesday. Ever since man first enjoyed the pleasure of drinking nectar or juice that had gone a bit bad, and felt the warm blanket of drunkenness, the Pub Crawl has been in our universal consciousness.

Flash forward to 1988, a young college student from the University of Connecticut at the ripe old age of 21 experiences his first pub crawl, the Hartford Pub Crawl. His destiny was realized. After attending every Hartford Pub Crawl until 1995 (except one - his girlfriend thought he would be too hung over for a wedding the next day), he moved across the country to the great state of Washington. Here he found no pub crawl to satisfy his drive to crawl, and in 1996 the Moscow-Pullman Pub Crawl was born.

Since then the number of people has grown steadily from the six founding fathers (and mothers) in 1996, to a whopping 35 people in 1999. Hopefully this number will grow until the entire Palouse region becomes involved.

When and Where

The Pub Crawl starts and ends in the same place every year, 5:30 at Rico's on the first Friday of each August. The time, date and location never changes so that no matter how little you remember from the year before, you can always come back the next year.
