Oak Ridge National Labs is located in the beautiful Smokie Mountains of Tennessee. ORNL is a multiprogram science and technology laboratory managed for the U.S. Department of Energy by Lockheed Martin Energy Research Corporation. Scientists and engineers at ORNL conduct basic and applied research and development to create scientific knowledge and technological solutions that strengthen the nation's leadership in key areas of science; increase the availability of clean, abundant energy; restore and protect the environment; and contribute to national security.

Introduction Welcome to the United States Department of Energy. Here we will guide you through a overview of the heavily guarded Y12 Energy Defense Facility. An assessment of my research can also be found here. Enjoy!
Investigating Thermal Shock With the use of various sensing equipment, a neutron spallation target was studied via experiments performed at the Los Alamos Neutron Science Center. The goal is to determine the characteristics of the target container and cavity which contains liquid mercury during its interaction with a 10^13 proton pulse having energies of about 1 GeV. The pressure and temperature of the mercury, along with the strain on the cavity, were measured.
Laboratory & Office Space Every conceivable angle has been captured in this exceptional photo ensemble displaying the Photonics and Measurement Systems upstairs laser lab. Also, a photo collections of a multitude of perspectives of my office have been captured for all humanity to see. Excellent then!
Fellow Researchers Yes, those "Not So Sane" researchers have been captured on film. No John, new primates haven't be discovered. By the way, ionizing radiation isn't good for human brain tissue!!!!
